IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION ABOUT THE DANGERS OF USING BIRD PROTECTORS. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THEY ARE DEADLY TO OUR AVIAN FRIENDS. IF YOU OWN BIRDS AND HAVE A BIRD PROTECTOR TAKE IT OFF THE CAGE AND THROW IT AWAY PLEASE! YOU DO NOT WANT TO LOSE YOUR BIRD BECAUSE OF SOMETHING THAT IS NOT NEEDED ANYWAY. PET STORES SELL THEM FOR THE $$$ NOT HAVING BIRDS BEST INTREST IN MIND. SAME GOES WITH FOOD. NEVER FEED YOUR BIRD SEED ONLY DIETS.

FIRST OF ALL I AM A QUAKER PARROT OWNER SO THIS STORY REALLY BOTHERS ME. QUAKER PARROTS ARE ONE OF THE SMARTEST BIRDS KEPT AS A PET. QUAKER PARROTS ARE NOT WILD BIRDS AND THEY ARE NOT WHAT THE LAW SAYS THEY ARE. NEW HAMPSHIRE IS BANNING QUAKER PARROTS WHICH IS ABOUT AS STUPID AS THE OTHER STATES THAT ALREADY BAN THEM. MY QUAKER PARROT TALKS A GOOD BIT BUT NOT AS MUCH AS AN AFRICAN GREY, BUT STILL IT IS A GREAT BIRD! ALL QUAKER OWNERS NEED TO BAND TOGETHER AND GET THESE STATES TO SEE THAT A CAPTIVE BIRD CAN NOT LIVE IN THE WILD SO THEY NEED TO ALLOW PEOPLE TO OWN THEM.  LAWMAKERS LISTEN UP QUAKJER PARROTS KEPT IN HOMES AS PETS DO NOT THREATEN THE WILD, THEY SIMPLY CAN'T SURVIVE IN THE WILD ONCE THEY ARE KEPT AS PETS!!! ALLOW THE ENTIRE US TO HAVE THESE WONDERFUL BIRDS!

I own several birds, 14 to be exact. 1 Sun Conure, 1 Quaker Parrot, 8 Parakeets, 1 male Canary, 2 Zebra Finches, and 1 cockatiel. I enjoy spending my days in the company of these wonderful animals and watch how they communicate with each other. I am always learning from them and their actions. As spring nears new feathers  grow and old feathers fall away. Eggs are laid and ready to hatch  and bring new life into the flock. I am simply a student of nature who is taught by the creatures which occupy it. I love all animals but the birds are my favorite because of their beauty and intelligence.
